Avenam Biogas Plant built for cassava peels and cow dung digestion to produced biogas used for electricity generation and garri frying at a factory in Ibadan, Oyo State Nigeria. The plant uses cassava peel and cow dung as as feed stock for biogas production. The biogas produced is being use for electricity generation within the garri factory to power the peeling machine, grater and garri fryer. The project helps to manage cassava waste and pig waste within the locality. The slurry is also dewatered to produce organic fertilizer for agricultural purpose.
